Who is responsible
[company name], at the address above, is responsible for the personal data processed through this website.
What we collect
Only what you send through the quote and contact forms: your name, company, email address, phone number, the shipment details and your message, together with the date and time and the language of the page you used. If you apply as a courier, see “Courier applications” below.
Courier applications
If you apply as a courier, we receive the details from the courier form: your name, contact details, where you live, the airport you fly from, nationality, languages, visas, availability, experience and any link you add. We use them only to assess your application and contact you, as steps at your request before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The form does not ask for identity documents; if we continue, we request them separately and securely. If we do not work together, we delete your application within 6 months. If you become a courier, we keep your details for as long as we work together and afterwards for as long as the law requires.
Why we use it
To answer your request, prepare a quote and, if you book, carry out the job. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for later follow-up, our legitimate interest in managing customer relations (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Where it is stored
Requests are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) in the European Union, in the Belgium region. Google acts as our processor. Our website hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver these pages and keep them secure. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who receives it
Only the people who need your data to handle your request can see it. If you book a job, we share what is needed to carry it out (names and contact details for pickup and delivery, and the shipment details) with the courier assigned to it and, where needed, with airlines, ground handling agents, customs brokers and authorities. They use it only for the transport or because the law requires it. Service providers that process data on our behalf, such as Google for the database and Cloudflare for website hosting, do so under a data processing agreement.
Transfers outside the EU
Hand-carry jobs often end outside the European Union. When a shipment goes to such a country, the details needed for delivery and customs clearance go there too: to the courier, the local handling agents and the customs authority. This transfer is necessary to carry out the transport you asked for (Article 49(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). Google and Cloudflare, our processors, are US companies: your requests are stored in the EU, but they may access or process data outside the EU under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. How long we keep it
Requests that do not lead to a job are deleted within 12 months. When you book a job, we keep the related records as long as accounting and tax law require.
Your rights
You may ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and you may object to processing. Write to [email]. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).
Cookies and browser storage
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. When you start a quote on the home page, your browser briefly keeps what you typed (session storage) so the quote form can be filled in for you. It is not sent anywhere until you submit the form, and your browser erases it when you close the tab. Fonts, videos and the airport list are served from this site, so no third party learns that you visited.
